If memory serves, and I think it may have served an ace in this instance, Shpionazh was written to support a tutorial on GarageBand’s AUMultibandCompressor. Hence the bass and drums are good and punchy while strings and piano sit back and shift between melancholy and happy-lah. I think I must have been watching a spy film on TV the night before I wrote this - to me, the intro is evocative of espionage. See what you think.
